The American College of Forensic Examiners International is proud to offer our distinguished members a new opportunity. The Certified Instructor, CI℠ Program provides an opportunity for members to teach ACFEI credential programs in a specific field or area of expertise. With three levels—instructor, senior instructor, and master instructor—becoming a CI allows you to earn income while providing an invaluable service to the field of forensics. The CI course covers all the necessary information needed to educate students to pass the required credential exams. CIs have access to a wide range of ACFEI resources and will receive the support needed to teach successful courses.

Announcing! The new Certified in Survival Mindset, CSM℠

The American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI) is partnering with The International College of Behavioral Sciences (ICBS) to bring you its latest credentialing opportunity, Certified in Survival Mindset, CSM ℠. The Certified in Survival Mindset, CSM ℠ program is based off the work of Lt. Col. Dave Grossman and is essential to physical and psychological survival before, during, and after a critical incident. Subject matter expert Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime. The course materials cover each of his books, On Killing, On Combat, and Warrior Mindset and will prepare you for the physiological and psychological aspects of violent encounters and equip your body and mind to survive disastrous events.

Announcing the New Certified Criminal Investigator, CCI® Open Source Project!

Get published as a course author today by submitting a module for inclusion in the Certified Criminal Investigator, CCI® Program. Since CCI is an open-source credential program, you can submit an idea for a module by simply filling out the appropriate form. Once received, ACFEI staff will forward your proposal to a committee of members on the American Board of Registered Investigators for approval; following approval, ACFEI will pay you $500 for a 4,000 word module submitted in accordance with our course submission guidelines. After your module is completed, edited, and approved, it will be incorporated into the CCI program.

Announcing Certified Criminal Investigator, CCI® is now worth Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) hours!

The American College of Forensic Examiners International (ACFEI) has partnered with the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association to provide law enforcement officers Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) hours. You can earn over 20 POST hours by successfully completing the Certified Criminal Investigator®, CCI® program from ACFEI today.

The RI® program instructs, measures, and assesses knowledge and competency of investigators in both the public and private sectors. Providing a foundation of forensics basics, this course creates a measure of standardization in the field of investigation. As the National Academy of Sciences’ report on forensic sciences reflects, certification for investigators is more crucial than ever before to fill the gaps in the field.
