National Floor Safety Institute
Founded in 1997 the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) is a 501(c)-3 non-for-profit organization whose mission is: “to aid in the prevention of slips, trips, and falls through education, research and standards development.”
The NFSI provides a wide range of services including independent product testing and certification, educational training, and standards development. In 2006 the NFSI was awarded the distinction of authoring standards for slip and fall prevention by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and oversees the ANSI B101 committee on slip, trip and fall prevention. In 2014 the NFSI was again recognized by ANSI as an accredited training provider and issuer of the Walkway Auditor Certification Holder (WACH) designation.

About the Certified Forensic Consultant (CFC) Training
Participants in the Certified Forensic Consultant (CFC) training will receive background information on the legal system. The course delves into marketing to attorneys for consultation and litigation. The course also discusses proper techniques for reviewing the case, completing discovery and testifying in court and a deposition and goes over the applicable Federal rules of evidence and procedure for subject matter experts.
Training by: Paul D. Friedman, PhD, JD
Dr. Paul D. Friedman is a member of O’Steen & Harrison, PLC. He joined the firm in 1996 and practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, ethics, professional malpractice, defective products and pharmaceutical liability. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Medical and Research Ethics at Midwestern University and the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he instructs current health care providers and students in the medical field.
Dr. Friedman was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1989 (section member of trial practice; employment and labor law), the State Bar of Colorado in 1992, the District of Columbia and the Federal Bar in 2004. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Arizona, the United States District Court of Arizona, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
